Karmak eCommerceDirect computer-to-computer communications take cost out of the supply chain
Karmak's eCommerce software is designed to handle computer-to-computer communications—your computer system communicating directly with your supplier's or customer's computer system. Documents are sent from your computer system to a mailbox at the exchange service and are then picked up by your suppliers or your customers. Likewise, your suppliers and customers can send documents to you via a mailbox at the exchange service.
Karmak's eCommerce software allows you to easily exchange documents with suppliers and customers via the Internet through exchange services such as Corcentric, DIcentral or HDeXchange. Once you are signed up and connected with an exchange service such as Corcentric, DIcentral or HDeXchange, you can immediately begin exchanging documents with multiple heavy-duty truck industry companies. Information including a list of current exchange partners is available on the respective websites of these exchange services: Corcentric, DIcentral, HDeXchange. A direct connection from the Karmak system to the exchange service is accomplished by utilizing electronic hardware that allows your Karmak business system to be connected to the Internet. We recommend implementing eCommerce in steps. For example, starting with Karmak’s Basic eCommerce module allows you to exchange documents with your suppliers. You can send Outbound Purchase Orders to your suppliers and receive Inbound Invoices. Additional eCommerce options further improve your profitability by allowing direct communications with customers, automated price updates, and vendor managed inventory.
