ServiceDirector has raised TMW’s service shop efficiency by enabling them to track all units for service and preventive maintenance. With the new system, TMW can remind customers of service due, setting up service intervals by industry time, mileage standards, or customer-requested intervals. From preventive maintenance checks to annual and bi-annual component rebuilds, TMW can now ensure that customers are notified of upcoming service required. “When a vehicle arrives for service, my technicians have all the vehicle information in their hands,” said Wojtas. “It’s a real time saver. No more tracking down VIN numbers and repeatedly asking for vehicle and address information.” In addition, ServiceDirector allows each repair job to be analyzed for profitability by generating and tracking repair orders, work-in-process, costs, dates, and even employee hours. TMW’s inventory tracking has improved since implementing Director Series. The new system enables TMW to track its inventory and quickly look up accurate information on quantities, pricing, and more. When parts are required, the system now easily generates a vendor purchase order.
