Scalable to fit your operation

Whether you operate one facility or hundreds of facilities, Karmak's latest software system, Service Management, is scalable to fit your operation and optimize your efficiency. Designed to improve service at every level, Service Management will improve your service productivity, help control your costs, and improve your customer service.

From the quote to the invoice, Service Management can be tailored to meet every service operation need, maximizing effectiveness and increasing profitability. The fully Windows-based Service Management module integrates with existing Karmak parts inventory, lease/rental, and accounting systems. To maintain customer vehicles more efficiently than ever before, customer information and service history are stored and can be accessed on demand.

Enhanced preventive maintenance scheduling

Enhanced preventive maintenance scheduling capabilities allow easy tracking of in-house units, fleets, and general customer vehicles based on multiple schedule types, including meter reading, days in use, or on a calendar date basis. And, it tracks the maintenance of major components or separate units attached to the truck or trailer, such as a refrigeration unit. Grace periods may also be used to easily work around customer schedules to minimize downtime on the unit.

Increased service shop efficiency

To increase service shop efficiency and analyze profitability of each repair job, Service Management tracks repair orders, work-in-process, costs, dates, and even labor hours. In addition, attachments, such as documents or pictures, can be added to a unit, repair order, or warranty claim. Billing criteria can be easily set up for labor pricing, shop supplies, environmental charges, warranties, and more.

The system frees up administrative time by saving pertinent customer and vehicle information, eliminating the need to re-key data over and over. Multiple shop supply accounts may be set up and automatically attached to one or all new repair order tasks. Service Management makes it easy to generate repair orders for work in the service shop, and convenient to perform all functions, from adding parts and labor hours to printing an invoice.

For faster access to parts for repair orders and to reduce time spent at the counter by technicians, Service Management incorporates bar code technology. With a hand-held bar code scanner, Service Management allows parts to be scanned and tied to a specific commonly used repair. Technician time can be entered or scanned in as a flat or hourly rate. With a single unique time and performance analysis, it is easy to track a technician’s time regardless of the technician’s physical location or department.

Warranty claims can be generated using familiar franchise terminology, which allows for quick location of specific warranty claims. And, managing warranty claims is quick and easy with a snapshot view of all paid and unpaid warranties. In a single warranty receivable aging screen, vendor warranty payment performance can be analyzed.
