Karmak Releases Hino Vendor Managed Inventory Software

Carlinville, Illinois, November 24, 2008 — Heavy-duty technology provider Karmak, Inc., has released its Vendor Managed Inventory software interface for Hino dealers. The new interface allows dealers using Karmak business systems to send sales and inventory data to Hino for analysis and, in return, receive a replenishment order based on mutually established criteria. The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program offers benefits such as more accurate prediction of new product stocking levels, improved fill rates, and reduced administrative time. It can also help dealers increase sales and improve customer service by reducing out-of-stock situations, while lowering inventory costs and improving inventory turns.

Incorporating advanced e-commerce technology, Karmak's Hino VMI interface is the latest in a series of applications developed to meet manufacturers' unique requirements. Working closely with Hino Trucks and other major heavy-duty manufacturers, Karmak provides OEM-specific solutions that ensure seamless communication between dealer/distributor and supplier systems.

Karmak offers additional details on available factory interfaces on its website at http://www.karmak.com/OEM.html.
