Multi Service Corporation and Karmak Sign Agreement for System IntegrationCarlinville, Illinois, September 21, 2009 — Karmak, Inc., and Multi Service Corporation (MSC) announced today a collaboration to integrate OEM national account programs with Karmak business systems via Service GateSM. Multi Service facilitates private label aftermarket parts programs for original equipment manufacturers in the trucking industry. Service Gate was designed by Multi Service to connect Multi Service processing systems with a variety of dealer management systems within the trucking industry; Karmak will make the interface available to its dealers accepting select Multi Service-issued private label cards and accounts. Prior to the development of Service Gate, dealers were required to create duplicate entries for every transaction made on a national account program – once into the Karmak business system and again into a separate system that communicated with Multi Service. In order to avoid redundant keying of transaction data, some dealers mailed paper invoices to Multi Service for keying. Through integration of Service Gate, merchants will have the ability to perform the following functions directly from their dealer management systems, all without double entry or the hassle of mailing paper invoices:
“We are continuously working to improve the business advantages for dealers accepting our national account programs,” said Mark O’Connell, President of Multi Service. “By taking advantage of one or all of the available Service Gate features, dealers will have the opportunity to further streamline transaction processing procedures and capitalize upon the business opportunities made available through these national account programs.” Karmak and Multi Service will make these feature options available to dealers accepting select Multi Service private label cards and accounts over the next several months. “Working with Multi Service, Karmak has developed this new interface to fully automate the integration with all Service Gate functions,” said Chuck Scahill, Kamark’s Vice President of Business Development. “The Service Gate interface will eliminate complex manual processes and enable Karmak business system users to easily adhere to the requirements of all OEM national account programs supported by Multi Service.” About Karmak About Multi Service Corporation Today, Multi Service manages end-to-end, private label billing and payment programs for companies in the trucking industry and beyond.
