Karmak Names New Chief Technology Officer

Carlinville, Illinois (March 11, 2008) — Karmak, Inc. recently named John Lebel, a 26-year veteran of the company, as Chief Technology Officer. Lebel's new position will expand his duties to include setting the technology direction for all Karmak products and overseeing the IT operations of Karmak's Carlinville, Ill. and Springfield, Mo. offices.

"John brings a significant contribution to the Karmak Executive team. His significant background in technology and extensive industry experience makes his new role as chief technology officer a natural transition," said Bill Healy, President and CEO of Karmak.

Regarding his appointment, Lebel said, "I'm excited by the opportunity to guide Karmak in maintaining its status as the leading technology provider for the heavy-duty truck industry. Lebel began his career at Karmak in 1982 and has been the Director of Research and Design since 2002. He has performed functions in virtually every aspect of the business including design and development, installations, training, and customer service. He was promoted to Manager of Research & Development in 1996, which led to his appointment to Director of Research and Design.
