Viewing reports is as easy as surfing the Web. KOLD uses the Microsoft® Internet Explorer browser to access information on your Karmak system. Or if you prefer, you may browse KOLD archives in Windows Explorer (requires additional setup for Karmak Legend systems). You can even link KOLD to your web page or Intranet site. Archived information is viewable from any networked PC with access to your Karmak system. This includes users at your headquarters location, remote branch locations, or users with networked Intranet or Internet access to your Karmak business system.

Convenient

The search feature lets you quickly find archived reports. Just click the report link to open it, then easily scroll or do a text search within the report to find the information you need. KOLD also allows you to print selected pages, with the option to print the entire document later.

Secure

Access to KOLD documents can be password protected, ensuring effective security for sensitive data and appropriate access by authorized personnel.

Minimal requirements

Every Karmak Legend or INFO 5 user already has most of the equipment needed to use KOLD. No additional servers are necessary to view archived reports. Everything is stored on the Karmak system.

If you have at least one PC that is networked to the Karmak business system, your company is almost ready to reap the benefits of an online document system.

For Legend systems

WEBBMAN, a web-based system management tool, is an optional KOLD module for Legend. It allows even non-technical users to perform daily system management tasks to free system managers’ time, reduce training time and costs, and keep your business running smoothly.

Just click to view information on users, disk space, and queues, issue form changes, stop, start, flush, or retain a queue, and more—no need to enter text commands.

For INFO 5 systems

KOLD for INFO 5 offers these additional features:

  • Archive any printable AS/400 file, including locally-developed queries, third party software reports, invoices, purchase orders, and picking tickets
  • Archive files from other programs such as Microsoft Word documents or Excel spreadsheets
  • Security based on user profile

KOLD for ProfitMaster systems

KOLD will be available as part of ProfitMaster Service Management. The new module will contain advanced search, archiving, and security features for ProfitMaster Service and Sales Management reports.

KOLD enables you to search for a specific report for a date range. You can easily choose which report to view.


Access to KOLD can be password protected. Sensitive reports can be further protected with the private folder feature, indicated by a padlock icon. These reports then require an additional password authorization to open.


Karmak reports can be quickly e-mailed from the KOLD program.
