CUSTOMER SUPPORT
SPECIALIST – Location: Carlinville, IL
A full-time position is available in our Customer Support
Department (Parts & Service), reporting to the Manager of
Application Support.
Responsibilities and qualifications for this position
include, but are not limited to:
- Determine customer concerns and conduct appropriate
research to provide positive resolution to Legend
software application problems
- Good communication, organization, and time
management skills are required
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have the
ability to work independently as well as on a team
- A background in customer support, inventory control,
truck service, accounting, truck sales or related
experience in the heavy duty truck industry is a plus
- Good working knowledge of various PC software
programs is required; experience with Microsoft Windows
products, including Excel and Word, is preferred
- Occasional travel may be required
RPM PRODUCT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
– Location: Carlinville, IL
A full-time position is available on the ProfitMaster
RPM product
team, reporting to the RPM Product Manager.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not
limited to:
- Responsible for deployment, implementation,
training, and support for the Karmak ProfitMaster
Real-time
Performance Monitor (RPM) product
- Deliver one-on-one training at customer sites, via
WebEx, as well as in a classroom/workshop setting.
- Prepare curriculum for product training classes on
the use of RPM and related products.
- Remain current on Karmak and third party products in
order to ensure the ability to support customers and
conduct training.
- Good organization, time management, communication,
presentation and computer skills are required.
- A background in the heavy truck industry, training,
customer support, IT, or related experience is
preferred.
- Previous experience installing or supporting
Karmak’s Legend and/or
INFO 5 business systems, or
Microsoft Windows, IIS, and/or SQL Server is a plus.
- Occasional travel may be required.
INSTALLATIONS SPECIALIST
– Location: Carlinville, IL
A full-time position is available in our Installations
Department, reporting to the Manager of Installations.
Qualifications and Responsibilities for this position
include, but are not limited to:
- Install and configure hardware and software at
customer sites
- Experience with any of the following is a plus:
DEC’s VAX/Alpha/Integrity, VMS, Windows & Networking
applications
- Good organizational, time management and
communication skills are required, as well as the
ability to work independently with time constraints
- Good PC skills are a plus
- Extensive travel is required
PROJECT MANAGER
– Location: Carlinville, IL
Full-time position is available in our development area,
reporting to the President/CEO.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not
limited to:
- Manage the ProfitMaster 3.0 project, including
delivery of a beta deployment by the appointed deadline
- Manage the logistics of the beta testing schedule
- Manage customer involvement in the ProfitMaster 3.0
project and support customer meetings
- Provide project status reporting to the team,
management and other departments, using velocity charts,
burn-down charts, process issues and recommendations
Qualifications for this position include, but are not
limited to:
- Must have 3 to 5 years experience successfully
managing software projects of at least one year
duration, with at least 10 team members
- Must have experience managing software development
projects using Agile Methodologies
- Must have the ability to manage a long term software
development project for a product expected to contain
several hundred Win-Forms, with a distributed team of up
to 18 or 20 members
- Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal
and written
- Will be required to work out of Karmak’s Carlinville
office

ProfitMaster Support.

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR –
Location: Carlinville, IL
A full-time position is available in our Software
Development Department, reporting to the .Net Development
Manager.
Qualifications & Responsibilities for this position
include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Work with application developers to create and
update database components.
- Work with business experts to create and design
relational databases.
- Provide support in data conversions.
- Ensure that the performance, quality, and
reliability of our databases surpass the expectations of
our customers.
- Provide informal leadership to less experienced
developers
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with
relational databases including design, development, and
administration.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of SQL programming is required
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Database modeling including
versioning and deployment in a production environment.
- Additional experience with MS SQL Server 2000 is a
plus
- Additional experience with XML, .NET programming or
Crystal Reports will be considered an asset
- Data conversion experience is a plus
- Background in database security and data warehouse
is a plus
- Ability to work in a complex, deadline oriented
environment
- Ability to multi-task with little supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
at the business and technical level

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
– Location: Positions available in Midwest, Northwest, West
and Southern US
Full-time Regional Manager positions are available in the
Midwest, Northwest, West and Southern US, reporting to the Area
Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Sell Karmak products and services to existing and
prospective customers to achieve or exceed assigned
revenue and profit objectives
- Effectively manage customer accounts by maintaining
positive customer service
Qualifications:
- Heavy-duty industry experience in a truck/trailer
dealership and/or parts and service distributor
environment, or a strong background in software product
support and a knowledge of sales and marketing
principles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time
management, organizational and presentation skills
- A high energy level with the ability to work
independently and travel weekly
- Strong PC skills required
- Must live in or relocate to the assigned territory
