The Karmak Application Service Provider (ASP) network provides customers with a business system solution that is comparable in functionality to a branch location connected to a headquarters server, without the worries of day-to-day hardware system maintenance.

The ASP network is set up on its own protected network segment. Each customer is secured with a hardware firewall device to prevent one customer from accessing another customer's network.

No customer on the ASP network has access to the firewall device at either end of the connection to the ASP network. Karmak strictly controls access for security of the ASP network.

The Karmak ASP model utilizes appropriately and adequately provisioned servers – carving out a secure virtual environment for each customer. By doing this, each customer is set up in their own secure data area. Parameters and privilege levels prohibit the ASP customers from seeing each other's data. This is controlled at the login level and no user on the ASP server has "system" level privilege.
